Beyond the ICU

Stepping out of the hospital is a huge sigh of relief, but can also be super scary for parents with ICU kiddos. Especially those with chronic needs or that are immunocompromised. Finding resources for our kids has not been the easiest thing to do. So instead of making others have to do tons of research we tried to put as many resources as we could in one place. From therapies to summer camps and beyond we hope you find what you need. If you need help finding something specific email us and we will do what we can to help!

Therapy Resources

Finding the right place for therapy for your little can be hard. They have to connect with that team, feel comfortable, safe, and understood. When that happens, the progress is astounding. Check out a list of some of the local resources.

NonProfit Assistance

We at Embracing the ICU would love to provide every resource that we found lacking during our journey, but financially that isn't possible. But we can help connect you to other nonprofits that help provide the services we can't. We are all in this together, so let's help each other out.

Adaptive Camps and Activities

Whether you are looking for a fun activity for a child with mild development delays to more ADA accessible and adaptive facilities, we have tried to include it here. If you want to connect with other parents of children with Autism or other challenges, check out our list. It's nice to have someone else truly understand our kiddos daily challenges, yet allow them to connect and have fun.
